Taken in the summer of 2005, I found this mushroom growing from a moss covered boulder situated on the edge of Whiteface Slide. My partner Rico was scrambling up the center of the 45 degree incline while I nursed my fear of heights and skirted the edge. The true colors of the photo exhibit a light tan mushroom growing from a gradient red green moss.
